We need to go back to the old Herbie.

Just to rustle some feathers, I'd love to see them come up with a new mascot named "Herb." He'd be like the old Herbie, but he'd be black.

He could be an Urban style mascot instead of the farmer-farmboy type of Harry and Herbie...maybe it would work. What would you call him though? You couldn't use 'Herb'..too close to 'Herbie'...

I think he means shoulder stripes similar to the ones from the late 60's-early 70's jerseys.

Herbie (the old one) is okay...the Balloon Man (Lil Red) is a disaster. I keep hoping for a big gust of wind to sweep him up over the stadium wall and onto I-80.
