Yes that was kind of my head scratching thought also.  People watch Fox - Fox says nothing negative about the bill   - therefore people are positive about the tax bill -  Those people who listen to Fox.

If there is bad news about the bill it needs to be aired.  And the reverse is true - the other networks should air the positives -  give us both sides of the issue and  let us determine.  Now the bill may be 75% bad and that is why there is so much 'negativity' on the other networks, but I don't think the bill is 100% good where people will automatically be positive to it as they listen to Fox.  So if Listening to Fox = automatic positive feelings  - then my only conclusion is that Fox is leaving something(s) out.

He is absolutely saying the former. This is 100% an endorsement of Fox News.  The S-Show starts at about 2:00 of this video. 

Note - a lot of what they're saying prior to the two-minute mark is not supported by the CBO scores, or by anyone who's scored this bill, other than Republican mouthpieces.

Every time I listen to something like this from Fox, I just shake my head thinking about how they don't even hide they are the propaganda machine for Republicans.

I continue to maintain Fox News is beyond saving. I don't care that Murdoch's kids are more involved now in day to day stuff. He's still got his thumb on the scale, and he's got a long history (including this very recent piece of suppression) of using his media tentacles to sway things in his own (the GOP's) favor.

He also has them bashing Mueller to try to discredit him.

According to that Salon piece, Murdoch (essentially the monolith atop conservative media) reportedly advises Trump daily.

This guy is corrupting conservative media from the top down.

Burn it down and start over.

 
After dealing with two statements at xmas dinner:

1.  Communists are the same thing as Socialists.

2.  What about Uranium One?

I introduced them to Snopes.  Sent the Fox News Shep Uranium One blurb.  And lastly, I asked for one thing from my parents for xmas - that they get 50% of their news ANYWHERE other than Fox.  So my mom turned to MSNBC.  NOOOOOO!  I shared the grid looking at bias' and news and they "didn't get it, do I really think CNN is neutral? That the BBC is good with news?"

My heart is breaking that my kin is completely bought into Fox and their messaging.  It's elder abuse that this channel is allowed on free cable.

Cable news (especially Fox) is something that my generation and the generations before mine aren't psychologically equipped to handle, because we grew up in a time when the news was a very trusted and respected source of information. The idea that they would purposely lie or mislead was something I really didn't hear people saying growing up. And everyone had the same 3 sources of news + national and local papers. It was possible but difficult to get your biases confirmed because there was no internet and as far as I know there weren't widespread national partisan newspapers or channels. I'm sure there were conservative and liberal newspapers but seeing as I can't think of their names I doubt they were too big.

So the news was considered an unbiased source of information, and the news you got about politics came from things that the politicians said, and if they were lying the reporters would've called them out on it. And then if they didn't do the things they promised you could vote them out next term.

That is what everyone had ingrained in them. Then came Fox News. People were/are still hardwired to think the people on the news were trustworthy, and weren't prepared to question what they were hearing. This is especially the case for people 60+, imo.

Things are even worse now with the internet. Any dumb idea that pops into your head has probably been written about by some "news" website out there, if you search for the right terms. The smartest political teams use that to their advantage. We have access to more information but in some ways we're more ignorant than ever before. To add to that we have a president validating everything Fox News is saying and telling people that everyone else is lying. Then you have Russia and likely other nations trying to make things even worse. I don't think this is going to have a good ending.

No doubt - the older folks though (speaking of my own) put that Fox on the tv and let it go all day long - they won't scour the internet or pick up a paper other than their local one.

Bannon is doing his best to kill our democracy.  What a miserable man he must be.
