The season boils down to one simple question!

The question is simple. Can Suh take over the Big 12 Championship game! Can Suh dominate and disrupt Colt McCoy and singlehandedly destroy Texas?

It looked like Kansas was getting a pretty good rush on him. But, Suh and Crick may be too much for the Texas line.

The question I ask the board. :star :star

Can Suh take over the game like he did so many others this season or is Texas too good for our defensive front?

 
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but realistically, I don't see much chance of beating Texas. Regardless, the team can still have a 10-win season, which would be nice. Against Texas, NU will have to pull out ALL the stops, and take a lot of risks.

 
we will have to blitz a lot, or be picked apart. mccoy will have to make some mistakes, but that is not totally out of the realm of possibility. the biggest question is can we score the 24-28 points it will take to win this game. we will need some help. texass gave lots of help to sCUm, no reason they can't do the same for us.

 
Texas' biggest problem so far this season has been their extremely slow start. It's usually not until the second half when they really start clicking. I think we hang tough in the 1st half and keep it close but the second half could be where we see Texas pull away for the W. Unless we score big in the 1st half, I don't see a W for us in this game.

 
I'm not scared about this game. Nebraska has had a tendency all season to play up or down to their competition. Nebraska "got beat" by one one team this year, and that was Texas Tech. Other than that game Nebraska is two plays away from having one loss.

Don't expect Suh to lay an egg. He will come out swinging in the Big 12 Championship Game.

But, I don't think we have enough talent across the board to keep Texas from scoring less than 30 and our offense scoring more than 14.

 
Texas is beatable, but NU will need to play a near perfect game to pull it off.

Whoever is on Shipley will have their work cut out for them

I remember hearing the same things when the OU game was about to be played.

While you are absolutely right, I also think we can by being opportunistic and playing like we did against OU. The only downside to this is that we are facing the best quarterback we have seen all season, a guy who has started for four years and has been in Heisman consideration the last two years. Landry Jones was a gift for us.

While you are absolutely right, I also think we can by being opportunistic and playing like we did against OU. The only downside to this is that we are facing the best quarterback we have seen all season, a guy who has started for four years and has been in Heisman consideration the last two years. Agreed. Our defense can hold them, i have faith in that, but its our offense that im really worried about, are likely to face one of the toughest defenses we have seen all year. Oklahoma HAD a good defense but was plagued with injury, so this is going to be a real tough fight.

I expect a low scoring game down there, and with it being a low scoring, there comes our advantage, because we make it an anybody's game.

But i hope people realize that even if we lose the game to Texas, the Huskers still had a successful season. I think most of us in agreement felt that we were capable of taking the Big 12 North and playing in the title game. We have taken the first step towards dominance in the Big 12. Winning the Big 12 Championship is the second step, im not expecting this team to take two big steps in one season (especially with how so form of our team play has been).

This game will come down to one thing. Whoever wins the turnover battle, wins the Big 12 Championship game.

If our offense has a lot of 3 and outs, Texas will eventually wear down our defense and walk away from us. No defense can be expected to shut out a great offense if it is on the field all day. Our offense can help Suh & company by keeping the ball out of Texas' hands and give them some time to rest. How are we going to do that with our offense? I don't know......but I can hope for some kind of miraculous offensive epiphany between now and then.

Texas has the ability to blow us out if we don't play a great game. Let's hope that they continue their track record of starting slow in their games. That would bode very well for us.

Last guy to even beat Texas for the Big 12 Championship got fired.
