The SEC in 2010-2011

Do you folks see Alabama or another SEC team winning the national championship? Love them or (more likely) Hate them, the SEC has been the most dominant conference recently, and the only stat that matters to show that is that they win the championships. I would personally love to see more diversity and would hope that almost any team would end their streak (prefer it not to be Texas or USC...).

So what does 2010 have in store for the SEC? I don't think anyone is pegging a dark horse this season (like Ole Miss last year), but I think we will see some falls from grace. I think Alabama will be dominant, but I think Florida will fall to Georgia. LSU will fall in the big conference games too. I think the National Championship may include Alabama again, but I have a gut feeling that the National Championship teams will come from the Big 12 and Big Ten (So far I like Nebraska and Iowa, lesser so Ohio State, but it could very well be Ohio State if Pryor grows on his Rose Bowl form).

i dont think that the SEC will be represented in the MNC. both alabama and florida are losing alot more than the national media will have you believe and frankly beyond those 2 teams i dont think there are any other teams in the SEC that can compete with Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio State, or my darkhorse pick virginia tech.

as a side note, i dont think that iowa even finished top 10 this season...

Don't count out Arkansas. They have plenty of talent, including one of the best QB's in the conference. Add that to the improvements they should make in Bobby Paterno's 2nd year and there is no reason to think the Razorbacks won't be a much improved FB team next season. A NC team? I doubt it, but IMO no one is a lock for the title game this year. I think the race is wide open and us fans may be shocked to see who it is that rises to the top of the heap in 2010.
