So nobody has really talked about the show cause and suspension angles if it were to be Tressel. All we've really said is SC won't be a problem. Let's just run with the crazyness that it is Tress, when does SE and the department get to work on SC and possibly removing the suspension? Have they already talked with the NCAA to get assurances, are they working it out now? Or does SE wait until the hire to get it figured out? And who wants to file the FOI request for SE's emails to NCAA memebers?

If Tressel is the man, they are most likely working that out right now.

But can they make those inquires and requests without Tressel being employed by Nebraska?

No, not officially, but they could run the situation by the NCAA to get some kind of idea of what they would be up against.

The NCAA would take so much heat for upholding the suspension of a man that covered up a backdoor exchange of services to players during a short period of time when they lifted the suspension from a SCHOOL that covered up the molestation of children that lasted 15 years (that we know of)!

I concur...Throw in M. Roses mom's tweets about Tressel being the next HC...etc...too much smoke to not mean something...Tressel has a role in all of this.

Peeps... it wasn't a tweet. It wasn't Instagram. M. Roses' mom posted on her Facebook timeline, not too long after the firing of Pelini. She mentioned not being happy about Pelini being fired, the way the players were informed, and then she suggested that Tressel was being hired. I'm in the midst of confirming if the post is still on her timeline.

My experience is those with true "insider" knowledge keep their mouths shut. Those who very openly purport to have "insider" knowledge are often - but not always - people simply seeking attention.

They're good conversation fodder. Basing beliefs off of these things can be risky, and lead to great disappointment. In the realm of message boards, "insiders" are to be treated with caution.
