The team that Colorado shut out yesterday....

We have to come to grips with reality. This team has proven now through 3 games that there is not one guaranteed win left on the '07 schedule. We can just cheer, hope and pray.

I agree. The only upside is that there should be some exciting finishes

By the transitive theory, UNO would have beat Florida last year. The common opponent thing doesnt mean crap.

No, it generally doesn't-- but I have to think that if you have HUGE win/loss margins, the probability of the transitive property having an effect goes up (but still not a lock by any means). I mean, if it didn't hold *any* weight, how would anyone be able to rank teams and place 2 teams that never play relative to one another.

Well, I guess last season we saw the problem with that system :)

That's it, we need a playoff.

Yeah, that's the site I was talking about!

The transitive property DOES NOT APPLY to college football.

We will destroy Colorado. This is a law of nature.

Funny..I thought I started the thread about the transitive theory last year..Must've been on ( :madash ) another BBS.

To me, the only thing that the transitive theory proves when applied to college football is that a playoff would be no better than what we have now.

It would be too dependant on who drew whom in your playoffs.

1) Paper State would easily cover the spread against Rock U.

2) Rock U, would beat Scissors A&M every time

3) Scissors A&M would beat Paper State. (unless, of course, it's windy)

However..If you could find a way to squeeze in a best 4 out of 7 games for each match-up...You might have something
