The Trolls

We all know the trolls will be back in just a few weeks trying to incite our fans, etc. I personally hope we all do a better job at not taking the bait this year. Here is a recent article about the mindset of trolls (e.g. sociopaths).

 
Good point - and now's probably a good point for a few reminders...

While we tend to offer a little leeway when someone is an obvious troll, please remember that the Board doesn't allow personal attacks. If someone is posting something that makes you want to attack, you have some options:

1. Take them to the Woodshed and unload on them there. If you need the password to the Woodshed, just PM the Mods or Admins.

2. Use the Ignore function. Instructions here.

3. Report the post. Above every post, on the left hand side, is this button for reporting the post to the Mods and Admins:

Remember, though - we can't be on the Board every minute of every day, so if you report a post and nothign seems to happen immediately, you don't need to report it a second time - we'll get to it as soon as we can.

I know that blasting a troll gives a degree of satisfaction, but bear in mind that besides cluttering up the board, most folks don't want to read flame wars. So, please pick one of the alternatives above.

The important thing to remember is that a troll wants to draw you into making personal attacks, etc. In his mind, the troll wins when you flame him. Please don't give the trolls what they want....

So if we show trolls love and compassion will that cause them to burst into flames? :bounce :sarcasm

 
I know for me last year was a bad year...I don't like being piled on when we're down by people that are total losers as are their teams. Hopefully this year will be better and they won't be given the Ammo that BC afforded them.

Kidding around obviously.., or not? maybe. But seriously. sort of. .not. ;)

I realize you're joking but some people would really ask that question. The worst thing you can do to a troll is ignore him. That is how you defeat him.

What's funny is if we DO indeed start winning this season, our very own Husker trolls will be coming out of hiding too. Just browse other opponent's message boards. They're out there.

It's kind of entertaining actually, but regardless......it is best to not get involved. For everyone's sake.

And yes, this thread is actually about Cy....and Hack.
