So the XFL actually has 9 teams. Team 9 is basically a practice squad based in Arlington, used to fill in players for any of the other 8 teams

Was their tryout for team 9 then? Armstrong at least should get a look. I've watched bits and pieces of games, and for the most part the QB play is terrible.
I'm sure they want to keep pretending it's just like the NFL and they want recognizable pocket passers to succeed (Landry Jones, Matt McGloin, etc) - but the best QBs have been the dual threat guys like PJ Walker, Jordan Ta'amu, and Josh Johnson. A handful of the current QBs *coughTaylorCorneliouscough* should be cut immediately, some are just painful to watch. Receivers seem to have some talent, but horrific QB play is honestly a factor in why I'm not more engaged. It just hurts to watch a bunch of Tanner Lee-level play, I don't want to sit through that.
