Animal rights advocates are fired up over photos of Donald Trump's sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, posing with trophy kills while on a hunting safari in Zimbabwe last year. In the photos, posted by TMZ, Trump's offspring are shown standing next to dead animals including, most disturbingly, a crocodile hanging by its neck from a tree and an elephant, next to which young Don stands, proudly holding the animal's hacked-off tail. (Yes, stomach-turning). The elder Donald Trump half-heartedly defended his sons' hunting interest, and Don, Jr. has been feverishly responding to criticism via Twitter, writing that he has "no shame" about the pics. "I HUNT & EAT game."

Let me say this first. everyone has their opinions. Thats cool.

Most of the stuff people are saying to them, especially on twitter seems like the uninformed blabbering on and on. I have heard and seen this song and dance forever. Mostly its women who complain, atleast in my experiance. its always some chick with caked on make up and a ton of dyes and products in her hair. She normally has no clue that product from rendering goes into making alot of beauty products. she'll get all pissy about slaugher houses that produce meat for our country and fail to realize she has the left overs caked on her face.

One measly crocodile? Big deal. About 16 years ago a group of Nebraska football players took a little road trip over the holidays. And SLAUGHTERED all the gators from a particular swamp. LINK

Many exceedingly rich people are .......................there I said it. It's mainly more affluent people that can afford a 10k+ safari. I'm wondering if a elk hunt when I'm 60 is feasible. It ain't 10k neither. And I'm gonna eat that critter :) .

 
I have wanted to go wild boar hunting for years. I think it would be an incredible rush and a little revenge for "Old Yeller."

Pretty sure there's only a handful of people on this board who could even legally poses a feather from that bird.

The croc as long as it's not endangered who cares. But the Elephant, is that really necessary?

 
What?!!! PETA seeking publicity?? If it was any of us that posted pics of our safari hunt, PETA would care less... If PETA really cared they would take the time to fully understand wildlife conservation and management.

 
I don't think it's the hunters making a big deal out of it nor are they being arrogant. It's the media making out that way. A lot of rich people do this but you hardly hear anything about it. It's only a big deal now because it's Trump's kid(s).

 
I'm an avid hunter, but I have strong reservations about elephant hunting. Some African governments like to lie about elephant numbers because there's so much money in the hunting of them.

SENIOR Zimbabwean officials have inflated the official number of elephants in the country so they can benefit from the ivory trade, a conservationist said Tuesday.

Johnny Rodrigues of the Zimbabwean Conservation Taskforce said the elephant population had fallen to 60,000 at the most, yet the government put the figure at more than 100,000.
