I've been thinking tonight about the saying

"from the outside looking in, you can't understand it

from the inside looking out, you can't explain it There is no place like Nebraska

it makes me wonder if the new coaches and player can get,

when it was an honor to be part of the pipeline and do they know what a pancake is

not just what they over eat in the morning.

Or when the blackshirts just stepping on the field at practice was intimidating

not a shirt they wear when they are first string.

the blackshirt use to go 110% every play in the game or practice

not quitting because I"m not haveing fun.

Half our games use to be 1/2 won the minute we stepped on the field

not being called high schoolers by mizz or kansas licking their chops to play us

Now we have the phrase of the month like pound the rock from last year

to me it is alot like rub the turtle, but that is forgotten now we have a big rock

sitting there everyone has forgotten about or tripping over

I think the coaching staff and players should set down an watch Husker Century

and see what this means to Nebraska And try get that spirt into their play

We need to get back to where playing for the coach and being part of the tradition here is

enough motovation to go 110% every play.

I agree, "Husker century" should be required viewing prior to suiting up for the first time. Somewhere along the way this program has lost its way and they need help finding the way back.

I heard on the radio that pancake blocking is actually discouraged now by this staff because they don't want opposing players knocked to the ground where they could roll on someone from our team and injure them. I somewhat understand this, but what a way to make us look like sissies. I was always told to knock the opposing player on his a$$.
