4 recruits sched'd for lincoln visits this weekend fo Callys first recruiting wknd.

Three of the four players that will be in on official visits this weekend are already verbal commits. LBs Maurice McClellan and Michael Keenan and defensive lineman Andy Christensen. The 4th is that guy people were talking about in that other post Santino Panico. I heard he is RB. but others say WR. which is it?

 
well things went real well this past wknd. Christensen loved his visit, no real surprise here. he's a rock solid commit and was real pleased w/ the coaches.

Panico has an offer extended from NU. he hasnt decided yet tho, but appeard to enjoy himself in lincoln. He's a WR by the way.

McClellan had a great time also. he is going to give the Iback spot a try, but if it doesnt work out he will play LB with Keenan, who was also in town and gave positive feedback.

No real shocks here, but good to hear anyway. the new staff seems to be making good impressions and reassure some that probly had some second thoughts on the inside. keep rollin Cally!! things are looking good!

 
yeh just read an article bout this Mclellan kid. seems he's making a run at Iback. This beast is 6'3 220, a true WCO halfback prototype. seems like Call and Co are drifting away from the mold we currently have in place, ie Ross. I still hope its Ross' spot to lose, b/c he earned it.

McClellan rushed for 1,400 yards and 24 touchdowns as a junior. He then missed the first six games of his senior season after undergoing surgery to repair torn knee cartilage.

The new coaches are all cool," McClellan said. "They're cool dudes. It was nice out there. They showed us the stadium. We saw the Heisman room, the weight room and met all the academic people."
