Thoughts on Suh's suspension?

Once again thug is not the right word and it's appalling that it is being used to describe someone who's job is to play a game as one.
Is he suffering from roid rage?"Get out of Detroit, and move to Chicago??????????????" If there are 125,000 thugs in Detroit, there are at least twice as many in Chicago. All he would be doing is going to a bigger party ! Let's face facts here gentlemen: Ndamukang is what he is. There are no excuses for his actions. He is a tremendous athlete with unbelievable talent : No question about it. The thing that holds him back is his attitude. Ndamukang has been his own worst enemy. The guy is extremely Immature and unstable at this point in his life. I thought that it was just youthful folly when he first came into the league and did these things then. However; he has continued on this treadmill, and he has not matured one iota since. I so want to see him make progress and reach his fullest potential in the NFL, and in life. Each year it seems that we are hit with another negative headline or two about him. That is extremely unfortunate and very sad to see. I am afraid that we need to face facts that Ndamukang is not going to change unless there is a concerted effort towards change and maturity. And the only person that can launch that effort is Ndamukang . It is his choice, and his alone. And his choices in recent years have not been wise ones. Very unfortunate !

Suh is a beast. The dirtiest players in the NFL are offensive linemen...ask any defensive lineman who has ever played the game. If the NFL would be consistent and treat offensive linemen the same way they treat the hitters in the league, most of them would be suspended multiple times a season...or they would stop playing so dirty. Maybe if the O-line weren't so dirty, a D-lineman like Suh might not get so frustrated and lash out at whomever is near by.
As some have said above, the NFL is a joke. They have created a pathetic product that barely resembles real football and at the same time painted themselves into a corner where they have to treat the QBs like the prima donnas that they are. They have created a game where scoring is the most important thing and they have changed the rules to make the league so pass-happy that it can't afford for one of the "golden boys" to get hurt. Roger Goodell is a horrible commissioner who has all the integrity of a personal injury attorney. He (and his like-minded predecessors) have made the NFL pretty much unwatchable. The sad part is when the NCAA thinks it has to imitate the NFL and creates similar rules.

Rather have them borderline crazy than borderline soft. I'd like for the vikings to add him.
A few years back, Suh gave Chicago QB Jay Cutler a push in the back as he was trying to run him down. It was billed as "a forearm smash" and flagged, although the replays didn't show a fist or a swing. Let's face it, Suh pushing Cutler is going to look a lot worse than if Cutler pushed Suh. Both announcers called the penalty BS, but it became part of the litany of "dirty plays" to which people refer without actually having seen it.
Of course, once it is a matter of Suh vs. Rodgers, any contact in which Suh doesn't stick out his pinky finger like he's drinking at a tea party is going to go in Roger's favor and against Suh.
Also, the League must think that Suh has eyes in the back of his head, since twice he was penalized / fined / suspended for stepping on someone's something that he couldn't possible have seen. Here, try this test: Have a friend lie down on the ground while your back is turned, and then put your foot directly down on his ankle without looking. Do this a dozen times, and keep score on how many times you were able to do so.

How was he supposed to know Rogers was mad if he wasn't looking at him? When was the last time any offensive lineman got off a defensive guy quickly after pancaking him, to make sure no one got mad?
This is the football forum, soccer is somewhere else. I imagine your post can be moved there, where it is more appropriate.

Exactly. When he played here, his "thugness" was viewed as him being "aggressive" or "dominating." Now he's a thug. Not sure why people are so surprised by his antics in the NFL

Had it been any other Qb other then Aron Rodgers or the packers it wouldn't have been made a big deal.
But that's the problem. He's done something like this so many times, he's past getting the benefit of the doubt. He's used up his second chances. And thirds. And fourths......
