They certainly didn't play like it was intentional

Not a great first half by our Huskers but I am DAMN PROUD to be a fan of team that loves their kids and shows such class. +1 for Fresno State players for applauding along.

this slightly crossed my mind, only because we ran it all 3 plays. Like, if we get a first down fine, but it's not the end of the world. But then we proceeded to run it again, 18 of the next 20 plays as well. So no.

I doubt it was intentional. My feeling is that the kids knew it was going to happen and probably were as much focused on honoring Sam as they were to play a game. Mentally it was a chapter they needed closure on before the season could officially begin in their minds. Once it was over they got down to the task of playing football.

Props to Fresno State for not accepting the delay of game penalty. That, and it was their ST gameplan to come after our true frosh punter. But that first punt they didn't really come after him. Fresno showed class and respect on that. Very well done.
