Playing bump-and-run would of prevented some of the big plays made by SC's receivers and would have allowed the front 7 to have more time to get to Booty.

Octavian is obviously not 100%, never heard his name all night.

WHY DIDN'T WE PASS MORE ON THEM? TWO FRESHMEN AT SAFETY? WTH?????!!!

 
I just can't believe we gave their WRs a cushion all night long and never made the adjustments. That really blows my mind. :angry:

 
i honestly beleive that if we ran bump and run, and passed on them more we would of beat them, but that's only my opinion so you take that with a grain of salt. Play calling was horrible, simple as that, the run couldn't be established and they kept trying to run it, USC caught onto that and focused on it. When you look at that scoring drive with the passing working effectively, we would of had a great chance of pulling it off. Next time...THROW THE FU#KING BALL!!i'm not that upset over this loss, cuz SC HAS SOME WEAPONS. and they didn't really "roll" over us. the fact that we played strong has impressed me. Man that loss of bowman(in my eyes) killed us.

but it coulda been worse (SC avg's 50+ pts. per) and we held em' to 28. Plus they are the [SIZE=21pt]#4[/SIZE] team in the country, and we did farely well.

Congrats to SC on the win, and our boys for playing hard.

 
imo, Callahan was trying to establish the run so he could pull out some play action, but with a diminishing run game tonight, obvioiusly it wasn't going to work.

one great call of the night though was the bootleg on the 2 yd line where taylor scores.

 
poor grix, he had no chance with his size matching up with Jarrett, Jarrett goes on to the NFL, grix on to another promising career, other than football......kid has a great heart though.......

No way would the game have changed if we would of bumped their WR's with our DB's! Hell if any of you who have young kids, it would be like your son or daughter trying to stop you from taking away their candy! I think we did the best we could with what we have in our secondary!

 
I think the play calling could of been so much better..that is my only real complaint.

Obviously it was the best we could do because it was during the game and we were prepared as much as we could be!!! Remember USC had an extra week to get ready for us and they most likely knew as much as they could about us!!!! :dunno

 
I just have to vent, that first TD against Andre Jones looked pathetic, JMO. Their recievers are so talented, they were making huge catches all day long, amazing catches, but I think this was one place one of our players just screwed up. Bowman would have made a difference, but he doesn't play offense too, so I say we still would have lost... Can't wait for Big 12 play to start! :restore

 
Wher in the hell was Nate Swift? This game should have been no

different than last years game against Michigan. First strike against

coach C.

The reporters better rip him about his f'ing play calling.
