Thunderin' Bolts vs Kansas State

Not this weekend, maybe next weekend but this weekend won't happen. That said, in the weekend series against Indiana, Nebraska rotation vary well could be Sears (under 2.0 era), McConaughey (under 3.0 era), Brocket (under 3.0 era). That might be the final weekend starters and hopefully that lineup leads to a conference championship.
You think Brocket can pitch 4 days after a 107 pitch no-hitter outing?

We play Minnesota on the road this weekend. Brocket won't be the Sunday starter but against Indiana (at home mind you), yes I can see him being given the Sunday start. The midweek opponent next week is South Dakota State and likely Horn to start. After Indiana, no midweek opponent, the Huskers travel to Michigan State and yes, pending how Brocket pitches next week, he could get his first conference weekend road start.

I think he’s saying not this coming Sunday, but the following.

at least that’s what I hope he’s saying. This Sunday would be criminal.
This is correct, I'm saying against Indiana which is the following weekend after the this weekends Minnesota series.

You couldn't have fully read my post and assume I was saying he'd start Sunday. Huskers play Minnesota this weekend. They play South Dakota State and Indiana at home next week. Yes, I can see him having earned a weekend start against Indiana. Pending that and the results he has the Huskers then travel to Michigan State to end the season. Could he get a "first" conference road start? Time will tell.

Lastly and just as an fyi (though I am certain you know this but in case you don't)... if in post season (conference tourney's rarely but regionals and especially super regionals, yes, it's not "uncommon" to see starters on a 4 day rotation. Obviously however, on a pitch count in the 4th day start.

I'm a little puzzled if you thought that's what was being suggested in that post (because it was extremely obvious it wasn't) or instead you were asking if that was at all feasible as an option? Because nobody outside of sadist Dave Van Horn would do that to a pitcher.

Yep, I read it real fast and missed that point.

He's going to throw vs South Dakota State.

The funny thing is, he started last night as a throw away because he was not traveling to Minnesota this weekend. The kid took advantage of his opportunity and I am so proud of him for doing so.
