Getting close to first pitch on a beautiful day.  Huskers stacking wins one at a time.  I am hoping Meija isn't pitching for NMSU.  Would love to see our bats keeping it going.

It feels like it's anyone's ball game to win it.  I think, although down 1 run, the Huskers might catch fire as we keep going through our line up.  Esp feels good with it being a home game.

Just in case ppl aren't aware, Huskers started off slow at the plate.  NMSU pitcher had a perfect game through 10 batters, broken up by an error.  They were up 3-0 but are now only clinging to a 3-2 lead with lots of baseball left in this one.  Momentum is shifting.

NMSU starting pitcher has retired the last 10 Husker hitters.  He's gone 7 innings.  We are going to have 6 outs to play with in order to get 3 runs.  Not impossible, but a rally would help.

we don't have the sticks to be competitive this year and our pitching is proving to be very suspect as well. especially suspect in late innings though our starters have mostly been unreliable as well.
