Five-Star Recruit
i was looking on ebay and noticed that there are alot of tickets for sale for this game...it makes me wonder why? do most of these people buy their season tickets to make a profet or has the love of the team gone down...if so what does that mean about or last and greatest record of sell out games...i can not imagine having more color other than red in our stadium like notre dame had to witness a few years back...what do you all think

There are always a bunch of tickets for games on Ebay. Every game this year.

As far as the sellout streak, I am sure all the tickets from the NU ticket office are gone, that's all they need to call it a "Sellout". They don't have any control over what people do with the tickets after that.

I wouldn't worry a lot about it. We sold our CU tickets when I was in college, and we played for a title every year I was there. We sold them because the CU game was the day after Thanks Giving. Most of us lived 300+ miles from Lincoln and wanted to go home for the holiday. We always made enough off one ticket to pay for 2 or 3 years worth of student section season tickets. People are selling them now because they want to see how much they can get for them. Remember, everyone's a prostitute. It's just some are more expensive than others. If I could pay for my entire year's season tickets from selling one and missing one game, I would sure do it. Don't get me wrong, the game is big for a couple of reasons for both teams. But, lets face it winning or losing this game really doesn't have the mustard on it that it once did. Why not profit from selling the ticket?

i just hope even though we are "sold out" we start to see open seats like in many places....it is hard to say 'sold out" with empty seats....but i also know that probably wont happen any time soon..one of my favorite seasons was a few years back when we were so bad cuz i was able to buy 3 games cuz nobody else wanted them that had the money to get the season tickets so us poor nebraskans got to go see a game or 2....

Last time I bought tickets on ebay, I was very disappointed to see the same tickets much much cheaper in front of the stadium on game day. I don't know if that is normal or not.

LOL, of course it's normal especially if the game has already started! I know a guy who flew down with a friend to the Game of the Century. Neither of the two had tickets before the game. They were both able to buy tickets outside the stadium to the friggin Game of the Century. Even scalpers have to eat their tickets once in a while.

If I were taking my family to a game, I'd try to buy them on ebay. However, if I was the only one going I'd take my chances in front of the stadium. There's always a ticket or two that doesn't get sold before the opening kickoff. It's amazing how much cheaper the tickets get after the game has started!

From my experience this year, I got tickets below face on ebay. In years past, it was difficult for me to find tickets in Lincoln on gameday that were reasonable. This year was much different, however. At the Wake game, 2 of the guys I went with got tickets on the 40 for next to nothing, and I can never remember a time when I saw so many guys on the street willing to sell for face, even hours before kickoff.

Another thing to think about is the high gas prices for tickets being maybe a little cheaper. I haven't been to a game yet this year for this reason alone. I don't want to pay $2.50-$3.00 a gallon for gas when round trip I'm driving just over 600 miles. I know several people locally who have season tickets who have only been to 1 or 2 games. Maybe the impact isn't that great, but there are a lot of fans here locally who have just said it's too expensive to go to the game.

never buy tickets on ebay....we went to the iowa st. game, we got 3 tickets 60 within 15 minutes of gettin to town, for 60 a piece
I think I paid 50 of ebay for Pitt tickets.
