Wow. We're really griping that Husker Fans chanted "Hey, hey, hey - goodbye!" at the game?

On a list of "worst possible insults to chant at your opponent" this one ranks next to "We want a pitcher, not a belly itcher."

maybe its me just trying to figure out the mind set of husker fan...

I listened 1620 for about 40 mins Friday and i couldnt help but laugh. Husker fans were pissed that MU players had smiles on their faces during the game when they were leading. They hated what they perceived as a lack of respect for Nebraska. Then the same guys after ranting goes on to comment about how they thought the NE players dancing on the sideline and polishing their helmets was so great.

Its like ripping on tiger fan for leaving the game when it was clearly over, or saying what poor fans we are, but then husker fans do the same things...curious

I love how people start the "tell us your horror stories" thread and the posters all say how they had a good time and spent time with great tiger fans. Surprise surpirse they wernt dragged off to suffer mass beatings and had their cars destroyed.

You know i am a bit of a smart azz. So i am the type of guy who will point out when people are missing the point or when they place blame for something that they, themselves have also done. I was not complaining about the chanting, lord knows i chanting MIZ-ZOU for the final 10 mins of last years game. Just playing a little devils advocate, something someone in your position and job should know all about knapplc

I know all about that, homey. I'm just offering the counterpoint to your DA. Ain't no thing.

You're still tops in my book, Fro. And I'm sure I'd have a great time with the Missouri fans down in Columbia if I wasn't so poor I'd have to sell a kidney to go to a game. A lot of it is what you bring to the table. I went to France a couple of years ago (before poverty struck) and had a great time with the French. Great people. But you hear horror stories about how they treat Americans all the time.... well, the worst stories I've heard are from people I think are asshats, so do the math.

There's always that element in any population that's ready to pull crap no matter how friendly you are. Removing that lowest denominator from the conversation, most folks in most places are pretty cool.

The experiences i've had with Missouri fans has always been poor.

I'm very curteous and I take other people's feelings into account with this stuff. I don't understand why we gloat about a win. We can celebrate and enjoy but why do people enjoy other's misery? Don't get it. So don't lump me in with the crowd that taunts and is mean. It's not that I feel I'm "better" or "classy" it's just I never understood the purpose or saw it as fun to put others down.

this is like telling your kids, "dont touch the stove its hot." So little jimmy goes over and touches the stove, just to see. Then he comes back and reports

"holy crap!! you know what? that stove is hot"

it has been posted by husker fans, probably close to 100 times over the past year. I know I have said so about 5 or 6 times. Others have chirped in as well.

But yet, some of you still go over....then come back and complain... <_<

:yeah

Totally agree...and if you like that one, go over to the Buff board and get some of that abuse...

Exactly...it was an emotional , come-from-behind road victory, that was sorely needed over a ranked opponet, that had given it to us good the last couple years. Pretty tame stuff. ;)

really, if a Missouri fan tells you that Tigerboard.com sux and you still go there, then complain about it suking, you need chlorine in your gene pool

But Missouri beat Illinois and Nevada thus proving they are VERY VERY good.

I'm sure it was probably the weather that made them lose.
