Cassidy headed to A&M

Tim Cassidy, Nebraska's associate athletic director for football, is headed to Texas A&M to work in a similar position for recently named coach Mike Sherman.

Cassidy spent 19 years at Texas A&M, serving as recruiting coordinator from 1989 to 2004, before returning to Nebraska.

Cassidy is a former Omahan.

I just hope he doesn't leave immediately so he can help TO with non-coach search duties for the next week or so.

The good lucks that y'all are sending to Tim are once again evidence that NU has some of the best class of fans in the nation. Thank you so much for showing me, once again, why I respect y'all so much.

Not that I know of. Luicci has been keeping us up to date, but unlike us getting out of the 10 day rule with Sherman, we are not as lucky with our coordinators. All I know is hopefully we have a shot at Sumlin from OU. Other than that, nobody really knows right now. I'm just hoping to hear good news for UNL soon!
