Time to put on the full pads

Gentlemen, it's time to see who can take a hit. Glenn, Wilson, Lucky.....which back is ready for the pounding? We'll see this afternoon starting at 3 pm.

After seeing Glenn's quads bulging out of a number of his pics from fall camp so far, I'm just glad I'm not the one that will be trying to bring him down.

Hope Callahan will give Wilson the rock a lot this week in practice. Let's see what this guy can do against contact.

As long as one (or hopefully all of them) can pick up a blitz then I'll be happy.
What he said.

I don't think taking hits is going to be the problem. I am sure all these guys have been playing ball for a while.

No question picking up the blitz is important.

Thought the coaches also said being able to hold onto the ball when the hits come was also up there at the top of the list.

I know Lucky said a number of times he had a hard time getting used to the contact at this level.

I have no doubt the hits will take their toll on Glenn as well.

For some reason, I have a hard time believing that the hits were quite as fierce at Butler CC.

My topic description should have read - Who can take the hits and who can dish them out effectively against the blitz?

This could be an interesting practice drill to watch. The linebackers (Octavien, McKeon, Rudd, Bradley) going head on against the running backs (Gleen, Lucky, Wilson, Jackson*2) trying to protect the quarterback.
