I have never seen Uconn play, but i watched them tonight for a 10 minute stretch or so, and i swear, I thought i was watching, not the WNBA, but the NBA. That is a good basketball team.

There would be nothing better than knocking off UConn, but depending on where the seeds land-we may have to get through Stanford to do it-which is a long, long ways from being an easy task.

We've had a few close/comeback games, so this is going to really be a sweat assuming they get deep in the tourney.

But in the long run, i would have to say the experience gained in the close games and comebacks is priceless in tourney time. Let's just say we do get to Uconn, and we get the game to the 10 minute mark in the second and we're still hangin in with at worse say a 7-8 point deficit. Who's more nervous, our ladies who've been in that spot all year, or Uconn, who's thinking "what the hell is goin on here". Just a thought

The stars aligned for us this year with a number of talented, experienced seniors on the team. Between Kelsey Griffin, Vonnie Turner and Cory Montgomery, we have three great players with the savvy and chemistry to will this team to win. Role players Kala Kuhlmann and Nicole Neals round out the five Seniors who play this year (Michelle Bober is hurt and will not play again).

We have the talent to go deep into the tournament. We have the coach, and we have the core fans who will travel to cheer the team on the further they go into the tournament. I would love to go, but economics say otherwise.

Sorry. It is really great that people are getting pumped about these girls, honestly. It's just frustrating, having personally been involved with a women's basketball program that had really good success, and knowing the struggles involved in getting people to care, it gets at me that they only way to get appreciation is to be really really good.
