Tipping a glass

Congratulations and best wishes!

Well, the boy graduates this friday from Navy Basic. He's the "Honor Recruit" for his Division (roughly 500 sailors), and I get to sit on the reviewing stand with his CO.

Sorry for the bump, I'm just a proud old man...

Don't apologize for the bump. This is a very cool thing. :thumbs
You are so right Knap. Times were different when I was in. If I had to do it over I would stay in and find a way to get into OCS. Navy life can be good even if you do have to spend long periods of time away from home. Walk's Son has some great times in front of him. The young people in our military are a constant source of pride for our whole country.

Yeah, I'm driving out from Jersey to his graduation Friday morning. Me, my Mom and her husband are going to be there. Then saturday, he's on the plane to the nuke school at Goose Creek, SC.
