It was really nice. A little too much pomp for me, but he got to go up in front of everyone, shake the Admiral's hand, which was pretty cool.

Yeah those things are usually over the top. Highlight of my Army career was meeting a 4 star General while on a rebuild project in Panama.

the highlight of my Army career was being the OPFOR for a german infantry regiment, accidentally sneaking in behind their lines, and wiping out a battalion commander, and his staff...

Except it was in 1944...and it was real. Quit being humble

Funny thing is, it was 1994

Always hated doing gaurd duty at night on the perimeter. Never knew when the OPFOR would attack.

Some of those guys were pretty damn good at that stuff. The Russian Spetsnaz were badass and hard to deal with.

We were lucky, our training Sgt, was a Black Hat at the JFK Special Warfare school, which meant he was a bad man....
