This is rediculous, I don't care how much he apologizes, his actions right after the penalty to me say that he should be suspended for the year.

Couldn't agree more. That's a "Marcus Vick" incident. Absolutely no excuse, and no place for it in the game.

What I'd like to see is for the victim to file a criminal complaint and nail his a$$ with an assualt charge. A littel time in prison might make everyone think twice.

I look for the league to give him a four to six game suspension and then the Titans suspending him for the rest of the year. Jeff Fisher won't put up with that stuff. It is good that he has apologized not only to the media and fans but also to the center of the Cowboys.

Saw it live on TV. The dude needs MINIMUM of 6 games suspended without pay. This needs to be used as a no tolerance situation.

He ended up with a five game suspension - I believe the longest non-drug related suspension to date. Still not nearly enough.

Five game suspension from the league. No word yet on whether or not the Titans will suspend him for longer. The way Fisher talked last night, it sounds like he could be done for the season, but who knows, when they talk when they are calm, maybe the suspension will just be the five games.

I'm almost positive I heard somewhere that criminal charges are still possible...................This is rediculous and he should be fined thousands upon thousands of dollars for this!!!! This is more flagrant than a helmet to helmet hit!!!! :steam

I can't believe that Titans player got only a five game suspension. He deserves a lot more than a five game suspension. Amazingly, it's the longest suspension for on-field behavior in NFL history. Based on the severity of that act, it should be even longer than five games.

Seems he has a history of problems:

From ESPN:

Haynesworth's previous problems had been hidden from attention because they took place in practice. As a sophomore at Tennessee, he fought with a teammate and left practice, returning with a long pole looking for tackle Will Ofenheusle before coach Phillip Fulmer stopped him. He was suspended for a half of a game.

During 2003 Titans training camp, Haynesworth kicked center Justin Hartwig, now with Carolina. Charges for a road rage incident earlier this year were dismissed.

But the stomping, showed repeatedly in television replays, has brought nearly unanimous condemnation, the unprecedented suspension and possibly criminal charges and a civil lawsuit.

Nashville police and the district attorney contacted the Cowboys' general counsel Monday, offering their assistance to Gurode in prosecuting Haynesworth. The Cowboys declined to comment on the suspension.

That was just from the league. As pissed off as Fisher looked when he came off the field, plus what Fisher said in a post game interview leads me to believe that the Titans will suspend him for a few more games on top of the five already established.

Is he related to Incognito?

Can't for the life of me figure out why that thought came to me...

(Saw on ESPN last night) that guy was in the locker room doing an interview. He said that he didn't want to be known as a cheap player, especially by his kids? YEAH I think he just tanked that notion. He's lucky he didn't break that guys neck! Whats he weigh like 340 or something he could have killed him. He's setting a real good example for his children. The NFL needs to make an example out of him!

Fisher being a former player looked real po-ed I think Fisher is going to be harder on him then the league... which is kinda sad. :asshat
