Thank God someone decided to say it. This board turns into a gigantic whiny b!^@h-fest if we don't blow a team out like we did against K-State. Even after the Missouri game, people were whining about the playcalling in the second half. I hardly even come around on Sunday or Monday because the threads are so predictable. The one at the top of the page "I'm really worried about this weekend" is a perfect example. I'm pretty sure we had one of those for Washington, KState, Texas, Oklahoma State, Missouri, and Iowa State. Some people are never satisfied.

I am very happy with a 9-1 record I just wish that we could be more consistent all the way around. We should of pounded iowa state regardless of having a 3rd string Qb in and we should of been able to just blow the 108th ranked rush defense off the ball in kansas. Sipple recorded that we had 18 runs of 2 yards or less,and some of those were on 3rd and short against Ku.I like how people just jump into conclusions all of a sudden and think that I was saying that I am not being happy with a 9-1 start.I was simply saying that its hard to get excited beating a HORRIBLE Ku team by 17 points and Isu team by 1 point that is not evan bowl eligible yet.

If i remember correctly, Bo said at the end of the Kansas game, that they wanted to have a conservated mindset when they played the Jayhawks, it wasn't about doing anything spectacular or fancy, it was about walking away with the win and everyone being healthy and in good spirits for the next game.

Granted Cody Green could've start the KU game and we still would have had a win *knock on wood*. But that would have meant a 100% Martinez getting his feet wet after taking a 2 week break from football, at least this way he goes into Kyle Field with his feet running and ready to play.

If this game was a 60-50 shootout with horrid defense you'd be all up waving your arms around being loud and excited. -The Zone Read offense can create a few of them, mis-timing, pulling out the ball or keeping it in the belly of the running back and the last possible second, but then we watch Oregon, who runs it to near perfection and if we could only do that, watch out, we will get better at it though, got to get more seasoning, just like with the option, it took time to perfect the pitches, same with the zone read, that was really just implemented in the last year.

That's what I'm struggling with. To me, just having a team that is 9-1 and on the verge of playing for a conference championship and a BCS bowl is something to cheer about, especially when half of your team is playing lights out. Am I an outlier or what? I guess decades of success might have set the excitement bar a little too high for some people.

If people bought into Bo's mantra of executing every play, everyday, no matter what, I think our stadium might be a little tougher place to play. If 20 points makes for a boring, unexciting game, then I guess thank the Lord you're not in the SEC.

Some of the plays were exciting on defense but overall it was a boring game. On offense Kansas is 96th in passing yards and 81st in rushing yards so Its not like we shut down a potent offense.We played good on defense this week against a horrid offense and the week before we got 30 points scored on us by Iowa freaking state.I dont care that we had our 3rd string Qb in and that our defense was getting tired,there is no way that they should score 24 points on us in regulation.

But the Blackshirts did for this game, the game that lead us to this discussion that was about crowd noise, the one where you implied, in this thread, that the product on the field wasn't good enough. So at what point did you decide to base how you cheered on last weeks game, which oddly enough, was still a win.

Saying these types of things is what makes people believe you are not happy at 9-1, as you still find something to complain about, even bringing up last week when we are talking about crowd noise. Confusion reigns.
