I just received a notification from ESPN SportsCenter which states

Ex-Nebraska coach Tom Osborne recused from voting for Huskers in College Football Playoff - sources

I thought we already knew that?

Not really news. No different than the NCAA tournament committee. You can't vote for the program you are affiliated with. Barry Alvarez wont be able to vote for Wisconsin either.

Well there's one vote we can never get.

The powers that be have it in for Nebraska.

SEC.....ESPN........

This is a good thing. Osborne would never vote us higher than we deserve. If anything I could see him voting conservatively on Nebraska--likely put us a spot or two lower than others have us.

Good thing we got another NU alumni in there: Barry Alvarez.

I read a little about this on ESPN. Basically if someone works for or is compensated by or is a student-athlete at a specific university, they would be recused from voting for that school.

I think it's what I didn't read that is a little disturbing. What if you attended that school in the past and are possibly a donor? I am thinking about Archie Manning (Ole Miss) and Condoleeza Rice (Stanford).

I think if TO can't vote for Nebraska and Barry can't vote for Wiscy etc., then it would only be fair and just that Condi and Archie couldn't vote for Stanford or Ole Miss. What's fair is fair.

or... collusion. they each vote for the other teams. form an alliance. a neb., ole miss, stanford, wisconsin playoff from now until they get kicked off the committee.

Ok that's pretty funny Paul. I for one wish that he would have turned it down, not hat he would have cheated or voted us way lower than what is right. I just knew there was going to be a bunch of idiots making accusations and if we ever did make the playoffs, jeez I could imagine the sec media having a sh#t storm about it.

Better yet, think of the possible sh#t storm if we were the #4 seed and barely got in and beat 2 SEC teams on the way to the national title! I think the South would want to leave.
