Tommie Frazier's snub highlights poor HOF policy

The College Football Hall of Fame announced its class of 2011 today, electing 16 former players and coaches to the ranks of gridiron immortality. Of the six players we had tabbed in March as the most deserving of induction, three (Deion Sanders, Russell Maryland, and Eddie George) were elected today, so we don't have quite the gripe we did earlier.

Eddie didn't make the HOF last year as a first year nominee. Guessing Frazier will make it next year as a 2nd year nominee, much like George did this year.

I dont think its really that big of a deal. Im sure he will get in next year.

He was, without question, the most outstanding college football player in 1995, he led his team to two national championships, four conference championships, was 33-3 as a starter, and is the only player in the history of college football to be the MVP of three consecutive national championship games.

If you don't think he was snubbed, I can only assume you never watched him play.

I had the same thought. Certain things just don't make sense and this is one. I'm sure he'll get in but I don't think he should have to wait, for some he is one of the best of the best all time so I think he should have gone in.

When it's all on the line, Tommie just can't be stopped. There were dozens of plays where Tommie got hit behind the line of scrimmage, only to break free for a 1st down. Or more. This HOF snub means nothing. He's a lock to get in.

You can't argue with any thing Hercules stated. He was by far the best I've ever seen. He will get in, but should have been this year. We all know he would have been the Heisman winner if the vote was taken after the bowls. Should have gotten it anyway.

put asside your :koolaid2: and go talk to someone that played for him at Doane. you might learn a little about Tommie.

...agree w/ Hercules 100% though. he was certainly snubbed for the Heisman.
