Tommy Armstrong Trying Out With Vikings As "Kind of a RB"

Not sure he's shifty enough to be an NFL RB.

Not that I think he really has a shot at safety either.

 
How does this work?

They signed him then waived him.

So.....does that mean he is on contract with the team and collecting a pay check but another team can pick him up if they want?

Shifty?? Don't you remember the scandal a couple years ago when that girl woke up in his bed the morning after a wild party, put her arm over Tommy, and discovered another girl asleep on the other side of him? That's world class shifty right there!

No. He would have gotten some payment for the time he was with the team but it's more of a per diem IIRC. It wouldn't have been a guaranteed contract for the year. He's no longer under any contract so he can go to any other team that wants to take a look.
