That's pretty good company. And what this shows is that for the past generation Nebraska has been one of the most consistent winning programs in I-A football, essentially equal to Michigan and Penn State. Not too shabby.
There are five B1G teams on that list. UNL, of course, did most of its winning in the Big 8 and Big XII Conferences. For Penn State I added back the 112 wins that the NCAA took away from 1998-2011 because they actually did win all those games.
As for the other conferences: SEC had 5, B12 4 (including TCU), ACC 3, PAC 3. Boise State is the only MWC member, and has been in I-A since 1996, so three years fewer than the other schools.
Not making this list are Alabama (26) and Notre Dame (25).
