We are at #12 for toughest schedule. Only other Big 12 team in top 25 is Texas A&M at #25. This is a big year for us to get some huge wins. If we get big wins early, I really like our chances for bringing the program back to the top of the Big 12 and beyond for years to come. We still need those signature wins so let's get 'em! :hellloooo

The Florida Non-Conference schedule is worse then NU's next season. Troy, W. Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, and Florida State all at home.

Just a quick question and answer for everyone. Why does everyone(sports writers/analysts) think the Pac 10 is the best thing since sliced bread and that its a tough conference. I don't really get that vibe from the Pac 10.

the Pac 10 is USC and the 9 dwarfs. Until someone else represents the Pac 10 in the rose bowl, people need to shut up about the pac 10 being tough.

:yeah Every year one of the other teams is supposed to step up and they never do, but it's still "tough." Yeah I don't think so

Dwarfs? Dwarfs? Two of those "dwarfs" (Cal & Oregon State) beat the crap out of two of the Big 12's best teams (Mizzu and A&M) last year in nothing but smack mouth football. The Pac 10 provided the smack and the Big 12 provided the mouth! We did play you guys and we "stepped up" and you didn't except for walking into one of our roundhouses. Apparently the Pac 10 "dwarfs" would be giants in the weak northern division of the Big 12. I want even mention the USC game (oops I did) if you won't mention the Oregon game. (That one little play cost Ok the game and the other 59 min. of Duck domination had nothing to do with it? Perhaps it was the noise at Autzen stadium (that just slipped out) Plus you ASSume that had the OKs gotten the ball they would have scored) Could have, should have would have... The bottom line, you lost. Now you try to belittle your victors. If they are "dwarfs" then what are you? All our games against the Big 12 went on the "W" side of the ledger, yours went the other way. Dwarfs. What a laugh. You spend too much time watching Disney. Watch football outside of your own back yard.

I wasn't aware Oregon St. beat the crap out of MU. Looked like a pretty competitive game.

I also wasn't aware MU was one of our conferences better teams. I thought they were more around the middle.

I would agree that the Pac 10 is a weak conference after USC. Winning two bowl games against the MU and A&M doesn't do much to convince me otherwise. Just reaffirms my belief that last year was a down year for our conference. A lot of youth and rebuilding going on.

ASU, Cal and UCLA all lack consistency. Arizona was destroyed by Mackovik, and it's been taking time to build them back up. Similarly so with Washington. As i understand it, USC re-emergence has taken a toll on the Oregon brothers in recruiting. Wazzu remains a tough place to play, but there pretty light on the road.

This isn't to say it's a bad conference. I just don't see much to it in football after USC. Who else is consistently a BCS level team?

:rollin :rollin :rollin

The Big 12 sucks, just like the Big 8 did minus a couple of teams.

unfortunately the Big 12 probably wouldn't fare very well agaist the Pac 10, just a fact day in and day out i am afraid.

ou isnt top notch. Texas is vulnerable. I have to agree they have the edge at the moment.

Next season could shift that around if a couple of teams step up to the front.

Hopefully we will be one of those teams.

You're right. It was a close game. I just added that as hyperbole to see if anyone was reading carefully and you were. Good observation. Truth is, I don't know is Mizzu collapsed at the end, or Oregon State asserted itself. If was a nail biter, not my deliberate exaggerated characterization. I just wanted to add a little heat to the post. ;)
