Top25 Coaches Final Poll ?

I think we might back door into the Final Top 25 (and I will take it with no shame in my game).

19. WISCONSIN – Lost by double-digits.

20. FRESNO STATE – Lost by 25!

21. A&M – Beat #24 Duke.

22. GEORGIA

23. NORTHERN ILLINOIS – Lost to Utah State!

24. DUKE – Lost to A&M.

25. USC – Won. Eh.

Also receiving votes: Miami (lost by 27), Cincinnati (lost 22), Texas (lost by 23), VT (lost by 30), Bowling Green (lost), Iowa (lost).

Notre Dame (beat Rutgers), Washington (beat BYU), Vanderbilt (still to play).

I cant for the life of me understand why some of you think the rankings are either a joke or a waste of time. If your not in the top 25 at the beginning of the season forget about making a bcs game cuz its gonna be hard to shoot up the ladder. It doesnt always work out that a unranked team makes it to the BCS championship by the end of the year. And its even more important with the new playoff system. You need to be in the talk pre season. Those numbers are alot more then people want them to think they are.
I dont think Auburn was ranked. But the SEC logo gives you a top 15 spot with a 2-0 record.

AP Top 25 (Oct. 20, 2013)

1. Alabama

2. Oregon

3. Florida State

4. Ohio State

5. Missouri

6. Baylor

7. Miami

8. Stanford

9. Clemson

10. Texas Tech

11. Auburn

LOL look how the rankings have changed.

Also, not that voters look that much into it, but we lost to a 10-win UCLA team who won their bowl and a 13-1 Michigan St. team that won the Rose Bowl and an Iowa team that looked respectable against LSU.

But I'd wager that the teams we're fighting against for those last couple spots in the poll all have a not-so-good loss on their resume's as well.

Name one example where someone lost out on anything of importance because of preseason poll positioning?

Next year, polls will not even be a part of the selection process.

Thanks. I was pretty much on. A&M's losses were all to pretty good teams. Wiscy's loss to Penn St. might qualify. And Georgia lost to Vandy.

Yeah, I wasn't including Georgia. If that get ranked and we don't, I will f'ing lose my sh*t.

Wisconsin and A&M should be ranked ahead of us. Washington and USC might have a good argument. Iowa is close but no cigar.
