What is it with former Ohio State quarterbacks??

To be fair, you need to know this guys past, brought in under Woody Hayes and just fell apart. He was, at the time, the prodigy quarterback and got into gambling hard, kicked off the team and his life has be turmoil ever since (on his own-doing nontheless).

Even Nebraska has these guys that aren't celebrated.

So is there something in Art's past that justifies this? Because it appears there is some turmoil in the life of the lady in the article too, Art Schlichter's victim.

Even Nebraska has these guys that aren't celebrated.

Sure, all football programs have players who do stupid things and end up in the pokey. Usually for drugs or violence of some sort. But I can't think of anyone except this ex-tOSU QB who who fleeced a 68 year old widow out of her life's savings, pushing her to the verge of suicide. Former Buckeye QB Art Schlichter is in a class by himself.

Not at all, any time I see a "hey look at this tOSU guy that f'd up" headline it grabs me. Its just that he is a fundamentally flawed man and we all have these guys no need to make a poster of him is all (though, of course we all do). I in no way defend him, simply the letters that follow his name: Ohio State Quarterback.

This is one of the reasons he was kicked off the team by Woody. He is susceptible to morally questionable behaviora and always has been.
