What's funny is that if it was any other school they would have applauded her and said she made the right choice. But since she was talking about Texas, she's a stupid b*tch.

I in no way condone domestic violenc but some of those pictures are just hilarious. Those clowns are always great for a laugh. It is even better when the holier than thou crowd are feasing on their own when the sit hits the fan

Cowherd and the new Mrs. McCoy got to talking about NCAA violations, and he asked her whether there were agents and boosters constantly around the young man who left the Longhorns for the NFL after a career in which he posted the sixth-most passing yards in NCAA history."

But now with this and the fact that ESPN is suing Texas under the Freedom of Information Act and is uncovering possible NCAA infractions it might be fun to watch it crumble.

But its crap like this happening some things very minor (like buying a kid a meal) that get programs into trouble. Fans, friends and boosters need to really need to have limited access to players. Let them have access to coaches and administrators and keep them away from the kids.

In my experience NU does a good job with this. Usually when there is access to players, lots of coaches, media, etc are there as well. Sure I suppose some back alley stuff could always happen but when there is even a suspicion of it the university is usually all over it. Instead they do get boosters with coaches, TO, trainers, etc. I think people just want to feel like they are are part of the program and there are two ways to do it. The kids. . .or the University paid employees. We try to do it with the latter.

Has it been proven that it was Colt's wife who called in? If so, this is baffling. Why would she do this? Is she so dumb that it doesn't occur to her that this will reflect poorly on her husband, and affect the rest of his life with his alma mater? If any of this turns out to be true, she's going to be responsible for bringing major sanctions to the school her husband dearly loved, and they won't be able to show their faces in Austin ever again.

Apparently it really was her that called in because she followed up her on-air rant with this tweet afterwards:

Great point @ESPN_Colin to hold "grown ADULT boosters accountable in all this NCAA violation stuff. "Quit being leeches" AGREED!!

Wow. That's an amazing amount of "do not get it" from this woman. With the well-publicized ongoing crackdowns against schools by the NCAA, to volunteer this information at this time reeks of stupidity. Amazing.

 
Third time's the charm. Since this story has now been posted in the Husker Football forum three times, I moved the thread back here and merged them all.

The reason there are stories about the Big Ten / OSU / Pryor / Tressel in the Husker Football forum is that we don't currently have a Big Ten forum, so we're keeping threads about our new conference in here for the time being. Everything else is supposed to go in Other Sports. It is, however, the off season, so we're going to allow some leeway in where threads go.

Around August or so, threads will be moved to their correct forums, since Husker Football will be pretty crowded with topics & posts.
