Tough weekend for both of us...

Three-Star Recruit
What a crappy weekend for both of us.

Nonetheless, I'm still excited to make my first trip to Lincoln for a game. I hope the stadium is packed and rockin' for the day.

We haven't won in Lincoln since 1960. While I remain hopeful, I just don't feel optimistic. It's hard to feel optimistic when the overall record is 36-4-1 for the series. Sigh. I see lots of discontent for Callahan here. Maybe we can help your cause to replace him with our first win there in 47 years. ;-)

Do you guys have an 'official' HuskerBoard tailgate? We plan to hit some of the places recommended on the board, but it would also be cool to meet some of you near the stadium. And maybe get a beer to help ease the pain from the results of the day ("ease his pain" - caught Field of Dreams last night).

See y'all soon.

Welcome. Been a BU fan forever, so I've seen OSU plenty of times. Nothing but good people down there. Enjoy Lincoln, bud.

Welcome to the board. Hope you enjoy your time in Lincoln. I hope we win, but pointing that out about the Cowboys (what I highlighted in bold) doesnt sit well with me right now since you mentioned it. Lately all streaks we established have been coming to an end. Let's hope for a fair, good game.

GBR!

great to hear from a opposing fan that is not a flamer or a troll.

after NU's embarrassing loss on Saturday night at the hands of Mizzu, I dont think the Cornhuskers will be very hospitible to the Cowboys, however we fans will welcome you, and applaud your team as it leaves the field.

i dont know if Blackshirt and Eric the Red are going to put a tailgate together.

FYI, this will be an emotional atmosphere because NU will be hosting the 10 Reunion of the 1997 NC team and a lot of its players if not all of them will be in attendance.

I hope you enjoy your trip to Lincoln, and good luck to the OSU Cowboys

Thanks for the welcome.

Being on the wrong side of that particular stat, I can tell you it doesn't sit particularly well with us either! I went to OSU in the late 80s when Thurman and then Barry came along. I really thought we had a chance to break that streak with Barry. 42 points on the blackshirts and we still couldn't pull it off. I remember watching the Princess Bride around that time...a quote from Pirate Roberts/Wesley popped into my head after the game, "Get used to disappointment".

Ohhh nooo. You're not going to suit up Winstrom and Green are you?!

Then that will mean the fans will see at least one Nebraska team thats good Saturday. Won't be playing but why quibble. :bonez

My 1st cousin is an OSU grad who lives in the Stillwater area, so I have nothing but good things to say about Okie St. And, that's even after witnessing the '02 game in person... <_<

Hope you have a good time in Lincoln (but not too good of a time  ).

I think your team won't have much of a problem here winning this weekend. We have our 1997 team reunion this weekend. TO and Kelsey, Peter, Davison and a bunch of other historic players will be in attendance. I think our team will have a case of "all thumbs" Saturday. Too much pressure, too many trying to show off, or just plain trying too hard will make them lose the game. :sarcasm
