They are going to have to be patient. This program is a rebuild.I know.
But, a total flip of the roster is once again going to make it very young. And, I don't think Husker fans have the patience for that again.

As others have stated, NU fans need to realize how bad the situation in Lincoln is. This is a rebuild. It can be done quicker with improved coaching evaluation and development, and hitting the transfer portal. There is a balance of getting rid of dead weight and maintaining depth. I think the solution is letting the new staff evaluate players in spring practice, and then coming up with a plan on roster management. It's unfair for the coaches to watch film of the 2022 season, because they may not know what the player is being asked to do on certain plays.I know.

Many are players that we're getting beat out by younger players. Why would flipping the roster make it very young? You can bring in 3rd and 4th year players via the Portal.
Just need to do that. No big deal. Just ~half the starters.just need to get the lines figured out. Every other position looks better when you have a good lines on both sides of the ball.
even if you only got two guys you see drastic improvement if you got two studs. Get someone to replace Benhart and a DT. I know easier said than done but think about all the messes 54 caused by being on the field.Just need to do that. No big deal. Just ~half the starters.
He11 no. Screw recruiting and player development. Who needs that? Just go out with our NIL dollars and buy Bryce young from Alabama, Xavier Worth, Kayshon Boutte, and Cedric Tillman at WR, Braelon Allen, and Blake Corum at RB, and a collection of the best linemen out there and the rebuild will be complete! Go Big Red! Imagine how much the program will save too, no need to build depth so the roster can be 45 players.
The lines need to be THE MAIN priority through the portal. That's where you need older and physically developed guys. The next would be QB. The rest can be more success with younger guys.He11 no. Yes.This does highlight the problem. A bunch of RBs and WRs we don’t need. Maybe 1 of each but high and jucos are out there. While, the linemen we desperately need - slim pickings. I hope the #s jump come Dec 5, but unless they starters for two years or backups at top ten programs, probably just more 2nd and 3rd stringers which we already seem to have.
Imo, the lines have to built in house mostly. That takes years (2-4) and more likely 4 than 2. We can change offenses but until we get the line built, scoring and consistency will be hard to develop.
3. We need 4-6 good DL to shore that up. The losses in the portal hurt us this fall. Guys played hard but just couldn’t sustain it for entire games or even long drives at times.
