Trick Plays

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet. I am to lazy to read the whole thing and need to get to class...Anyways I would like to see our offense be able to execute the normal playbook before they go trying anything tricky. We ran trick plays last year because Watson had reliable personnel to run them.

We have to find a way to win this game and i think the trick plays will have to be used. We need this game as a boost in momentum, get the sixth win, win this rivaly game, and :restore

Here's a good one:

Yes, intent does matter:

"ARTICLE 1. a. Kicking the ball is intentionally striking the ball with the

knee, lower leg or foot.

...

d. When in question, a ball is accidentally touched rather than kicked."

Therefore, any ball that deflects off a players knee, lower leg or foot during the course of a pass is not defined as a kick under NCAA rules, and is not subject to a penalty.

JTrain, please do not use logic and the actual rules to deprive him of his belief.

How about if Nebraska and Colorado take pictures of their trophies and send them to Mizzou for their trophy case? Will this resolve the bitterness? j/k

Pretty cool play, but would have to be executed perfectly!
We ran a play like this against CU in 2006. It is at ~3:50 in this video:

I think the only trick play I would like to see is our O-line actually block someone rather than finishing the play on their butts....

This team needs to get the basics down, not worry about trick plays.

More then one pass down field during a game would constitute a trick play in my book. <_< Though Watson will stick to his bubble screen and blame the qb for getting it picked off since his call are always right.

If you're referring to the pick 6, another poster mentioned that CG changed the play at the line of scrimmage on that play, then stared down his receiver.

So if you want to blame that one on Watson, go for it...

I'm a big fan of execution, then trick plays. We're still trying to establish ANYTHING on offense...not the type of game week where we throw in the wrinkles, IMO.

Let's do that one trick play where we get all the new recruits nice high-paying jobs selling used cars that they don't even have to show up to and totally get away with it year after year... the joklahomo play
