Trick Plays

If you're referring to the pick 6, another poster mentioned that CG changed the play at the line of scrimmage on that play, then stared down his receiver.

So if you want to blame that one on Watson, go for it...

I'm a big fan of execution, then trick plays. We're still trying to establish ANYTHING on offense...not the type of game week where we throw in the wrinkles, IMO.

nooo wayy zoogies.. that's not possible!!! :sarcasm

Here's a good one:

Calling us on the kicked ball would have been hypocritical as hell. The refs left their hankies in their pockets the rest of the game and Mizzou was getting away with murder(I've watched replays, it was flat-out ridiculous). No it shouldn't have been a td but it was only fair when the crappy officiating finally fell our way, you can't call a tight game for only one side.

As far as trick-plays this Saturday go if we have any good ones in the arsenal this could be the time. Our O is struggling, we'll likely need to manufacture a couple scores via defense, ST's, or even trick plays. But we gotta avoid stupidity with it and not screw ourselves like against CU last year or Auburn in the Cotton.

All this reminds me of a basketball trick play I always thought was cool...

Here is the situation... and, for the sake of explaining, I will use Nebraska and OU as the teams.

Nebraska has the ball out of bounds under the goal in which they are shooting at and there is a timeout on the floor.

When the huddle breaks, three Husker players go down to the goal the Huskers are defending while two players go back to where the ball is being taken out of bounds, let's say a center and a guard.

Oklahoma breaks the huddle and all five players go down to the goal that Nebraska is defending, thinking that the Huskers are going to inbound and dribble up the court.

Instead, the Husker center takes the ball, the play is whistled live, and he just tosses in bounds to the gaurd who shoots a lay up.

Sometimes athletes get into such a mind set that they see something familliar... and they just go with it, without thinking....Hey, Nebraska isn't shooting against this hoop.
