Troy game

Of course I'm focused on the USC game but I was just wondering if it has been announced whether or not the Troy game will be televised. Anyone know?

Thanks

Only two games I saw on TV are the Louisville/KSucks game at 11am on FSN and the ISU/Texas game at 2:30pm on ABC. There's a 6pm game out there that hasn't been picked, so my guess is that the Troy/NU game will be a 6pm game.

I hope its a night game, my college buddies and I are planning on going to the game and we are hoping for an allday tailgating event.

Dont know about the TV thing or not, but if we beat USC, we cant have a let down against THOSE Trojans, they almost upset Florida St Saturday and have been known to play well against good teams.

Yeah, pretty much craving an all day extravaganza at this point.

I think Troy played well because FSU had a hangover after the Miami game. It could be the same for us, since we play USC. I think that they will be prepared though and am not worried about that game. Now USC is a different manner. I can't wait for that game!!

We will know 7-10 days before gameday. Just like every game that doesn't have a kick-off time.

Plus FSU had a shortened week to get heal from Miami and get ready for Troy.
Terry Bowden said that both Florida State and Miami "dumbed-down" their offenses for the first game since they were worried about playing each other's defenses. Doesn't exactly sound like a glowing endorsement of his brother Jeff. Especially with how they continued to sputter against Troy.

Troy is becoming a pretty good program and I look forward to seeing Nebraska play them.

I live an hour north of Troy and I haven't seen anything down here in 'bama about them showing it yet. Too early I think, we will know next week. More than likely PPV if not televised. Check out the ESPN GamePlan on their website the week of.

I follow the Trojans, better than the AU Tigers or the damn 'Bama Elephants! I will always go, GO BIG RED, though!

Jay Moore and the Blackshirts will try to shut down Troy on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 6 p.m. in an FSN Pay Per View contest.

Lincoln - The Nebraska Athletic Department has announced that its Sept. 23 football game against Troy will kick off at 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. The game will be telecast on a pay-per-view basis by Big 12 Special Order Sports, FSN’s pay-per-view division. It will be available on participating cable systems in Nebraska and nationwide to satellite dish customers.

The suggested retail price for the game is $29.95. Full information on how to purchase the telecast, including a complete list of participating cable systems and satellite providers, will be announced as soon as it becomes available. Please check Huskers.com and FoxSports.com (search: Midwest) for updates in the coming days.

Participating cable and satellite providers will offer the telecast to their customers on a specially designated pay-per-view channel. The telecast will not pre-empt FSN’s regularly scheduled programming.

The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it was not selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. Under Conference TV rules, games not picked up for regular television distribution can only be televised live on pay-per-view. Big 12 Conference games selected as part of the league’s television package for Sept. 23 are—Louisville at Kansas State (FSN, 11 a.m.), Iowa State at Texas (ABC, 2:30 p.m.) and South Florida at Kansas (FSN, 6 p.m.).

The Troy-Nebraska telecast will be the sixth Nebraska football game distributed on pay-per-view, following: Oct. 12, 2002 vs. Missouri; Oct. 25, 2003 vs. Iowa State; Sept. 4, 2004 vs. Western Illinois; Oct. 2, 2004 vs. Kansas; Sept. 3, 2005 vs. Maine; and Oct. 15, 2005 at Baylor. Nebraska has won all six of those games.

The game will mark the fourth meeting between Nebraska and Troy. The schools also met at Memorial Stadium in 2001, 2002 and 2003, with Nebraska winning each of the three meetings, most recently a 30-0 shutout in 2003.

The remainder of Nebraska’s game times will be announced between six and 12 days before kickoff. The Nov. 24 game against Colorado will be televised nationally on ABC with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. CST
