America will figure out some way to screw up the vacation destinations there.  FYI...there's reasons why there aren't many all inclusive resorts in the US.

Gross….when you visit somewhere new, get out and enjoy the local cuisine!   Why limit yourself only to the hotel resort for food options.  
 

Just kidding for the most part.   I understand the reason some like the all inclusive environment, but I prefer to go out and eat dinners and enjoy what the area I visit has to offer.

Totally agree.  However, I'm headed out in a week to Playa Del Carmen with the family.  The all inclusive is just easier when you have 9 people.  We were there just a month ago and our resort was located perfectly to be able to walk out the front door to a big local shopping area, bars, restaurants...etc.

Dang, you are high society.   Two Playa trips within a month or so!!!!   I’m jealous. Have a great time next week and stay of Huskerboard while your there.  I can fill you in on the happenings when you get back

The older I get, the more I hate winter.  I need Mexico for my sanity.  

Actually, it just worked out in an odd way with these trips.  I'm sure I will check in here at least once a day.  I wouldn't want the balance of power here to get too far out of whack without me.

Next trip you schedule, you should check out Aruba or Curaçao instead of Mexico again.  Wonderful places to vacation.

I would love to go there....and some other places.  But, the December trip was with my wife's work.  So, we had no choice there.  This trip is with the kids just starting their careers and they were all on a budget.  So, really didn't have a choice there either.  In the end, I don't care as long as it's a long ways south with a beach and a swim up bar.

Still, my favorite place in Mexico is Puerto Vallarta.  I have a friend that retired there.  I could see spending January and February there when I retire.

That works for me.  Actually I like the mountains more - so Canadian Rockies without a passport also works!!

 
I have no idea if there are any American franchises in Greenland BUT when we do finally own it, what is your prediction for the first American franchise that goes there?
