My guess is he'll accidentally do some stuff that's helpful. But he mentions they suppress anything that can't be patented by Pharma. The FDA is what helps keep s#!tty products from Big Pharma out of production, so they don't make us sick. I personally know someone who helps them design the tests they do to determine whether drugs are safe. The literal goal is to keep products that make us sick from going to market. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of stuff is done under the guise of getting rid of the evil FDA and helping people, but it actually helps Big Pharma by making it easier for them to push through drugs with less or no testing required. I believe the same will happen with food companies and food safety. The story will be they're helping people but they'll mostly be helping the huge food companies.

And... the FDA suppresses exercise and sunshine? Again, RFKJ is an idiot. I just hope he accidents into some things. Like reducing access to sugar by taxing it more. But that's a big government thing. I think he will mostly be getting rid of big government so we can be harmed by big business instead. The people who complain about big government and regulations always act like there is no trade off.

Please don’t think I believe he is knowledgeable at all.  I just think if he’s going to just walk in and throw s#!t into the fan, he might as well try a few more that might actually work out.  But those few instances will not begin to make up the damage he caused.

The FDA plays a vital role is making sure new drugs are safe and effective.   I believe they get a bit conservative on the effective part sometimes and deny approvals for safe drugs that are alternatives to already approved drugs but not necessarily more effective.  
 

Companies for the most part design their own Phase 2 and 3 trials, though they can get input from the FDA in phase 3 trials but it’s not necessary.  Usually if they get input it’s mainly to make sure the trial is going to provide the specific information the FDA wants to see.  
 

And as good as our process is, the Phase 3 trials are don’t always catch serious side affects until the drug gets into a much larger patient sample after approval.   And this is where the reputable drug companies play a vital role in collecting that data and pulling drugs from market when it’s a safety hazard.   Too many people think Pharma is Evil which is a shame.  
 

The FDa could use a fresh set of eyes to make it better but it certainly doesn’t need dismantled.  

 
Putting someone in charge of the FDA that is one of these, "omg chemicals are in your food, look at the ingredient list, sugar is terrible for you" idiots is going to be a huge issue. He doesnt have any qualifications and promotes fear mongering not based on actual data but in pseudo science nonsense.  It's like promoting a moon landing denier to the head of NASA.

Really, you think this bats#!t crazy mfer might accidentally do something helpful? My best guess is he’ll kill a whole bunch of people directly because of policies and rules he adopts or gets rid of. I am not being hyperbolic at all, dead effing serious.

I don't mean overall or in general. I think it will mostly be bad things with a few random good things sprinkled in.
