Trump Legal Troubles

Like you said, he can't pardon him anyway BUT could you imagine if he could and did...Biden would essentially become trumps "Daddy" and that is something that can be very powerful.  At a debate "Donald, Donald, I just have one question for you...who's your Daddy?"

That would go viral like nothing we have ever seen.
Yes that is true buttttttttttt  I don't want to give that snake any more 'allowances'   Of course, for trump to accept a pardon, he'd have to admit a wrong.  As Mary Trump has said many times, Trump is incapable of admitting fault, failure, guilt.   If he felt he didn't need to confess his sins to God, to ask forgiveness - as noted in his 2016 election interview -  he will never confess guilt for any of his crimes.

He paid his witnesses and was still convicted. Classic.

Multiple Trump Witnesses Have Received Significant Financial Benefits From His Businesses, Campaign

Nine witnesses in the criminal cases against former President Donald Trump have received significant financial benefits, including large raises from his campaign, severance packages, new jobs, and a grant of shares and cash from Trump’s media company.

The benefits have flowed from Trump’s businesses and campaign committees, according to a ProPublica analysis of public disclosures, court records and securities filings. One campaign aide had his average monthly pay double, from $26,000 to $53,500. Another employee got a $2 million severance package barring him from voluntarily cooperating with law enforcement. And one of the campaign’s top officials had her daughter hired onto the campaign staff, where she is now the fourth-highest-paid employee.

These pay increases and other benefits often came at delicate moments in the legal proceedings against Trump. One aide who was given a plum position on the board of Trump’s social media company, for example, got the seat after he was subpoenaed but before he testified.

Significant changes to a staffer’s work situation, such as bonuses, pay raises, firings or promotions, can be evidence of a crime if they come outside the normal course of business. To prove witness tampering, prosecutors would need to show that perks or punishments were intended to influence testimony.

White-collar defense lawyers say the situation Trump finds himself in — in the dual role of defendant and boss of many of the people who are the primary witnesses to his alleged crimes — is not uncommon. Their standard advice is not to provide any unusual benefits or penalties to such employees. Ideally, decisions about employees slated to give evidence should be made by an independent body such as a board, not the boss who is under investigation.

You can dislike a guy and still realize this is bogus.  I am a never trumper, but feel this whole thing was polically motivated.  This may backfire on the dems.  Seems to have revigorated his base.  People who hate him may vote for him because they feel this bogus.  I am surprised about some people around me.

I can also say this, Trump never helps himself out.

Again, I will not vote for him.  I will vote 3rd party again.  I also will not vote for the clown he wanted to win the Ohio Senate seat.

Many things can be true at the same time.  Both/and does exsist.  I can hate Trump and feel this was politacally motivated.  If it makes you feel better to call him a felon, so be it.  You may have to call him, "not my president" because of it.  I still blame the Dems for not putting up a sane peerson too.  Although Newsom may come in at the end?  Who knows.

This is kinda what I was saying in a previous post.

I think Trump has avoided serious legal and economic consequences for decades, with the media and prosecutors going easy on him, deferring to the celebrity character he'd always crafted for himself. When he became President of the U.S., surprising everybody -- even himself -- Trump's dishonesty and narcissism became a lot less amusing and increasingly dangerous. J6 confirmed he would not go quietly and even uglier stuff was on the horizon.

So yes, using every tool at their disposal, Trump's political opponents went after him, looking to quash his reelection once and for all. Would they pursue legal avenues and strategies they might not have applied to other individuals, including the Donald Trump of 20 years ago?  Absolutely. Is Donald Trump really that dangerous? Going by the man's own vows for a second administration, history says yes. Will it backfire on them? Sadly, probably. America would apparently like to test run its first dictator.

So yeah, it's a witch hunt. Because Donald Trump is a witch. He brought 100% of this on himself over the course of his lifetime. His supporters have turned him into something he isn't, and that's the guy who will win the election.

The claim of support or not support has nothing to do with calling balls and strikes on bogus charges that even ex Democrat prosecutors agree with the sentiment I express.

I get you like to use “copium” in posts for some reason.  This wouldn’t be the place.
I'm always amused when you pick out a Dem that supports whatever your position is, then champion them like that's the definitive proof and ignore all other opinions. If I find an ex GOP prosecutor that thinks the charges are legit, does that trump your ex Dem?

You are perfectly fine feeling however you want. I think the charges are legit and a jury agreed.

Not prosecuting because you're afraid of it backfiring is even worse politically motivated prosecution. Not prosecuting Trump and other elites is a big part of how we ended up with the 2 tier justice system we have. I think this is a good attempt at holding one elite accountable - a tiny start.

Having said all that, I still don't think Trump will ever be punished for anything he does. The court system is designed to protect the rich and powerful, and whether by hook or by crook, he'll face nothing in the end.

This should not surprise any of us.  It is the classic picture of a mafia / mob type business.  That is basically what Trump INC is.  The similarities between Trump and Capone continue.

australia stopped him from building a casino in australia in 1987 because of his mob ties.

It’s a message board, you are able to find whatever you want within board rule and post it.  You can even say it “Trumps” what I post.

There are very few opinions without a stake in the game that say attempting to tie another charge to the falsification of business records charge in order to get a felony charge in order to get past the statute of limitations is legitimate lawfare.  I’m very comfortable in my assessment here.
