No I don’t believe so. It’s my understanding that Congress has the power of the purse. And with that said, do you believe that Democrats would allow the Senate to get to the 60 vote threshold if a stand alone spending bill was passed through the house that did nothing else but fund more immigration judges? I certainly don’t.
In some sense yes, for those that were deported WITHOUT a deportation order, but also in a way no. Far too many use the asylum process in a way it’s not meant to be used so f#&% them because it ends up hurting those that truly need the asylum process. And at this point, people who cross illegally must know that jail or deportation is the legal likely outcome so they are doing it to themselves by crossing over illegally anyways
