Trump’s Accomplishments…at levels never seen before (2025 version)

Only thing I’ll add here is that you obviously had a much bigger problem with Covid, mandates etc. than I did. IMO it was just a s#!tty once in 100 years situation that we had to make some adjustments to get through. Not every decision and course of action was right and, imo, your reaction to most of it strikes me as a bit fringe. It all kind of made sense to me but I’m pretty easy going and tend to roll with the punches. If a vaccine works, I’ll get it. If wearing a mask is presented as a way for me to help protect other people, I’ll wear one. And I can’t get upset about people being told they need to get vaxxed or lose their job because I chose to do it willingly. I told my employees, if they didn’t get vaxxed, I wouldn’t approve sick pay if/when they got Covid. That isn’t forcing them to do anything and it seemed like common sense to me. One guy refused to get vaxxed. He was likely already out of sick days anyway when he did contract covid. I’ve had it 4 maybe 5 times. First time before vax sucked. 2nd time was much better. Last 3 times basically nothing. Anyway you seem to put a lot of value on the Covid situation imo. Maybe it’s because you work in a healthcare related job?
I got the Covid vaccine, not because I had to but because it allowed me to get back into a couple customer clinics earlier.

What I value, is people being wronged (fired from a job) for a reason that ended up being medically unfounded, stopping the spread of COVID.   Vaccines didn’t do that based on the medical research.

the mandates didn’t affect me or any of my family so my thoughts were for others affected.

You voted for Trump.

The electoral margin was razor thin. The vote was for democracy or oligarchy. Harris was the only path to save democracy. Any vote not for Harris was a vote for Trump s oligarchy.

That explains today's posts.
Sorry but that’s a bit harsh. Effectively it may have been a vote for Trump but he did not vote for Trump so it’s out of line saying he did. Our system is dysfunctional. We shouldn’t have to vote for somebody we don’t like just to keep somebody we dislike even more from getting elected. It may work that way but that is hardly anybody here’s fault.

I voted my conscience, I will never apologize for that, my posts are against the middle school temper tantrums that have ensued in the last few days.  Elections have consequences.  You guys are smart.  You will be fine in 4 years or sooner, when he is gone.

BTW, the electoral margin was not close.  Dems got their asses handed to them.  What was close was Trump winning a few more states.

And that’s fine. But you’ve posted about it so many times I’ve lost count (not that I was actually counting). I guess my point is, it wasn’t that big of a deal to me so I would think it wouldn’t be that big of a deal to anyone who didn’t directly lose their job over it.

And I’ll be the first to admit I have rapidly lost the ability to really give a s#!t about a limited number of others getting wronged. I see way too much of it…I’ve given up caring. Good for you if others being wronged is your reason.

I have a really bad habit of grabbing eggs off the shelf without ever looking at the price (first world problem).
Me too, I mean I look at the price but it’s friggen eggs, whatcha gonna do, not buy them? Gotta have eggs.

The funny (or maybe not so funny) part of this is, the price of eggs has zero to do with the President. Do people really not understand avian influenza or what happens when they have to cull millions of layers?

Side story. We made some equipment for an egg outfit a few years back. We’d never really dealt with eggs so we had a little R&D work involved with how to convey and handle them etc. I asked them for a few dozen eggs and they gave us like 10-12 flats. IIRC a flat is 144 eggs so upwards of 1728 eggs. Everybody in the shop took a bunch home and we cooked breakfast here almost everyday for seemingly ever    The downside was all the hasbrowns, bacon and sausage I had to buy.
