Trump’s Accomplishments…at levels never seen before (2025 version)

Nahhhh, let’s not take a peak behind the curtain and figure out where the fraud is coming from.   Hell, let’s just do another giant omnibus that both parties prefer and move along like nothing happened!  Yeah, more fraud.
I"m fine with taking a peak.  I'm not fine with a bunch of 20 year olds that have absolutely no security clearance all of a sudden having access to all of our data and we have no clue what they are doing with it.

It’s funny to see all the rage pushback on getting rid of wasteful spending.  :clap
Okay, your party controls Congress. Pass a bill to limit the spending. This is going to sound completely foreign to a Trump voter - but you know, do it the legal way?

I think what you seem to not understand - which as a Republican seems to be the base case for pretty much everything - the issue is not if there is waste or if USAID could spend funds more efficiently. It's that Congress controls the purse and these government agencies simply exist to execute Congressional law. You're defending a violation of the Constitution simply because your political identity is tied with what a Republican does; even if what they do is blatantly unamerican and unconstitutional. Which is why I've been imploring Conservative voters to stop voting - identity politics has absolutely poisoned conservative voters. I'm going to put this in bold because you might not see it otherwise: THE RAGE PUSHBACK IS BECAUSE ITS ILLEGAL. ITS NOT WHAT THEYRE DOING ITS HOW THEY ARE DOING IT.

I understand that your identity as a Republican is going to override your identity as an American; and if Republicans decide to ignore the constitution and s#!t on American values, you're going to cheer them on for it because it's what hyper partisans do and it's what they've been doing since 2016. But I will once again implore you, and other Conservatives, to stop voting. It's dangerous, it's bad for the world, but most importantly it's clearly bad for America.

This is akin to libs celebrating Biden getting us out of Afghanistan, and when faced with how messy and detrimental it was to a lot of people, resorting with snark about how funny it is to see right-wingers rage about getting out of a costly war.

Except way worse with way higher stakes for way more people, and with an added element of being completely silent about the unconstitutional and illegal nature of how it's being done.

In the same way your Party passed a bill..errrrrr didn’t  pass a bill when President Biden chose not to spend the Congressionally approved wall funds?

Is there a specific reason you didn’t have this view the previous four years when it came to approved Border wall spending?

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Thursday defended his administration’s decision to waive 26 federal laws in South Texas to allow for construction of roughly 20 miles of additional border wall, saying he had no choice but to use the Trump-era funding for the barrier to stop illegal migration from Mexico.

In FY 2020, Congress passed a law explicitly requiring the President to construct barrier systems at the southern border to keep unauthorized individuals out of our country. The law provided $1.4 billion to build the border wall and explicitly stated the money “shall only be available for construction of barrier systems along the southwest border.” The Biden Administration refused to comply with Congress’ command.

When asked why the Biden Administration “did not build a barrier, such as a wall, to keep migrants out,” it replied that “t is not the policy of this administration” because “[w]e do not agree with the building of a wall.” DHS expressed its intention to “end wall expansion.” The Administration even “call[ed] on Congress to cancel remaining border wall funding” because they knew that without congressional action, they would need to use the appropriated funds for their specified purpose: finish the construction of President Trump’s border wall. Yet when Congress did not capitulate to its demands, the Biden Administration ignored its constitutional obligations to abide by Congress’ appropriations laws and opted not to use the funding for the purpose Congress directed.

`so you are now admitting that biden did end up spending that money on the border wall,   thank you for admitting that.

i wonder what MAGA would have said if Biden had formed his own Doge and had them decide the money appropriated for the wall was wasteful and they stopped it for Joe.

`so you are now admitting that biden did end up spending that money on the border wall,   thank you for admitting that.
So you are now admitting that Biden knowingly skirted law and had to be sued and still wouldn’t spend for three years.   Thank you for admitting that.

I guess the current Administration has another three years to get sued and then spend USAID slush funds before we have to manufacture outrage about it.   Though not all USAID is congressionally approved for specific line items like the border barrier funding was soooo…not really the same thing as you now know.
