Just gonna post this here. This is overall, an average of several of the latest polls. This is the highest disapproval he's had since April.

538 talked about how Trump winning was within the margin of error of the polling, so that's not quite what happened. I think the political discourse dismissed the chances of Trump winning before the polls tightened towards the end.

These aren’t polls on something that’s happening in the future. They are polls asking “How do you feel right at this moment?”

That said, if the polls aren’t really random then they aren’t really representative of the population.
