Tuberville to be reprimanded for comments about Big 12

New Texas Tech head football coach Tommy Tuberville is expected to receive a public reprimand from Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe for making recent comments that the newly configured conference might not last for very long, a school official told the American-Statesman Friday.
Beebe became very upset over remarks that Tuberville made to a radio station earlier this week and told school officials that he planned to reprimand the football coach.

Over the radio, Tuberville stated, “I just don’t think this conference will last long because there’s just too much disparity between all the teams here.”

The new head coach suggested that the remaining Big 12 teams are not as unified as projected after the expansion loss of Colorado and Nebraska.

Beebe doing his damage control, he wants to put makeup on the pig. Tuberville is right, eventually the lower payroll teams will revolt and then Texas will have to figure out a way to get in a conference while keeping rights to their longhorn network. The only reason Texas stayed with the Big XII is because everyone else laughed at them when they said they want sole rights to their games for their network. No TV network would go for that so no conference will go for that. Thanks to the other 9 schools they are on life support.

 
I don't know why they should even bother to reprimand him. Everyone knows that what he says is true and the Big 12 will be gone in a few years.

He's right and everyone knows it, Bebee has become even more of a spineless UT whipped b!tch.

 
TT was right, but the league has been know to fine people for being critcle of officals before. I suppose they hve the right to do so but it seems somewhat unprofessional to publicly discuss the repremand before it is actually done.

And why isn't Beebe still terrorizing me and my neighbors as president of my HOA?

Nice job Beebe, by trying to put your boot on Tuberville's neck you just further prove his point.

 
My Grandpa told me that back in the day when a stray dog would happen onto a farm the old timers would rub its hind end with a corn cob and then pour terpentine on it. That kept the dog from ever returning. I think BB needs this treatment.
