Hey, I got an email from someone wanting the "lyrics" from the opening prayer/chant preceeding the tunnel walk. Has anyone been able to piece these together? Here's the video if someone with an acute ear wants to give it a shot

With all the rumbling this week about OU and Texas in the Red River Shootout, the game of the day tomorrow promises to be the continued rebirth of Husker football's dominance in the Big 12...

TBS may have been there for the lowest moment in Husker football history last season, but their second trip to Lincoln this season will mark flaunt the Phoenix known as Husker football has arisen again.

It's a really kewl video. That was Cory Ross by the way pumping up the team. To bad the video is in high in playback quality. I think it's set at 2600 KBPS or something like that and most internet connections have a maximum of 1500 KPBS, so suffice to say, the video was choppy

Thanks man! Those are awesome lyrics - is that some type of actual sports prayer or did our guys come up with that themselves? I know the audio clip in my sig is Wistrom screaming the last line, but didnt know our previous teams used it too. Either way thats a helluva way to get the team fired up.

I just wish they would crank up the volume at Memorial when playing it, b/c it gets drowned out by the clapping - damn that would be chilling if the entire stadium repeated Cory Ross during the prayer... :horns2

I have heard it from other Teams.

The prayer I have heard on a Commercial before from another sport and school.

The Day by Day, we get better and better is popular qoute used in a lot of wrestling programs around the country.

They basicaly took the two and put them together.

 
I did a quick yahoo search - typed the first line... Each link is a little different - one or two words.
