I'm not trying to throw dirt on Turner, but how can Buffalo claim they are the Co-Eastern division champs, when Bowling Green is 6-2 in the Divsion and Buffalo is 5-3?

MAC divisional champs are not determined by total conference record. ONLY divisional games count (games against MAC East competition). This is due to them having an unbalanced schedule because of 13 teams in the MAC. With this, Buffalo did indeed tie for the MAC East championship.

Just curious: Why are you using only one more year as your criterion in measuring whether Turner is ready to be a head coach? Why not two years or three? Just curious. By the way, Congrats Turner!!!!
