i for one think it would be great if Gill became the next CU coach and it actually makes some sense. he has spent almost his entire career (both playing and coaching) in the big 8/big 12 region, which would give him a leg up on recruiting.

I wish it was the way you say it. And i am sure there are a fair share of his doubters that do for the reason that you stated above. But unfortunatly, there are still alot people out there who are the "R" word.

of course there are racist people out there.... many of whom voted him into office. you dont have to be white to be racist.

 
I too was disappointed by that video segment of Gill. He was great but that AD was sad. So bitter. I'm with Junior on the credentials. Chizik's overall resume was better. Let's face it...it took Gill 3!!!! years to win a championship in a wide open conference. Chizik just finished year 2. He had two coordinator stints on the defensive side and his teams won NATIONAL titles. Plus SEC schools like auburn breath strong defense over quick strike offense. I don't see how Gill would've been a fit.

I think too, Racism would die if it were allowed to. I don't think of people's skin color unless someone else mentions it. Seriously. It seems like it's just another excuse for people to blame others for their problems and feel sorry for themselves. So yeah....

Our President is a guy that has no experience. Has took a 500 Billion dollor deficit and turned it into Trillions and is pushing a Socialist agenda.

But the only reason half of America doesn't like him is because of his Race?

Keep in mind How Obama won the election. He got votes from groups that usually do not vote. African Americans and College Kids.

Would Obama have won if he was white, asian or hispanic?

Seems the only reason half of America believes that is they don't form their own opinions after listening to or reading an unbiased report. Don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, or Keith Olbermann. None of them say one thing without an agenda.

Some don't know what the definition of Socialism is....

I do agree that race has something to do with what people think of the President, but not a large percentage of people base their opinions on that fact alone or at all.

It's on both sides. The media and left spin their own and if you don't have an agenda, you don't have direction. People spout that word like it's a bad thing. Anyway...

Agree with Fro ... "there are still alot people out there who are the "R" word" ... and they are black ... unfortunately.

America is about the right to succeed or fail ... you are not guaranteed anything in life or the USA. Here, you have the right to try ... that's it. Unfortunately, politically motivated folks are trying to make it so "success" is based on what "government" does for you. That's wrong! Success is what you do ... regardless of what roads or obstacles are before you. You don't spread the wealth or pass on taxes to those of us who already pay 40% while the non-producers pay nothing.

I've lost promotions in every job I've had due to the company having to put "color" or "ethnicity" above character, hard work and productivity ... and that's wrong. I just lost a promotion at an indian casino I work at where the black guy is married to a girl in the indian tribe. Guess who got the job? It didn't matter who had accomplished more or produced more ... it came down to his relationship to the tribe and the color of his skin.

So, "welcome to my life Yoast" ... that is life in America ... it works both ways. So what am I gonna do about it. Complain?! No, I'm gonna keep working hard and be all that I can be ... regardless of the outcome. Somewhere ... somehow ... the right spot and the right company will find me.

One thing I do know ... I'm thru with being called a "racist" for being white and pursueing the American dream. If you want to talk about persecution ... look at the Jews ... they have been in slavery for about 4000 years ... and they don't provide excuses.

I'm thru with this rank ... back to football ... where nothing is promised .... only the reward of knowing that after all your hard work ... you still might be 3rd on the depth chart and still lost a game 16-15 ... but that is what America is all about.

Has nothing to do with Rush. When the Federal Gov is buying chunks of private businesses (GM/Chrysler & Banks) That is socialism at its purest form. When someone has said they want a single gov run health care system, that is again Socialism.
