Twitter: Michigan players react to Brady Hoke's firing

It seems like they handled the logistics of letting everyone know much better than we did. Although, I have a feeling there are reasons why SE did things the way he did. I don't think he's stupid.

Where's all the vindictive fervor?
There's a lot less of that which foments when the athletic department mans up and tells the players to their face and not with an early morning e-mail/Tweet/ slip an unsigned photocopy under the door.

Take notes for next time...

Do we really think how the players were informed really impacted their reaction to that degree? I think the heated tweets had more to do with the atmosphere in the locker room than the dissemination of the message. Us v. Them.

Very cool to see how classy the Michigan tweets were - not derisive. Props to them.

Yeah the Michigan Athletic department is the one to model yourself after. Their AD only had the student body demonstrating in front of his office until he eventually resigned in October

This is a new AD that did the firing. Just sayin

It's a helluva lot easier to understand your coach getting fired when he goes 5-7, than when he goes 9-3 (although both firings are right moves)

Right, so if Eichorst had told them in person, they wouldn't be all, "How do you fire a coach that wins 9 games a year. Worst Worse decision you ever made, Nebraska. Who would want to coach at a place like this? Now you're going to be the worst worse team in the conference."
